Belbari football stadium opens for district-level matches

The football stadium designed for Belbari Municipality is complete and in use.

Belbari Municipality wanted a ground that could hold a district-level match on a Saturday and a school sports day on a Tuesday, on a site bounded by an existing highway. The design places a long covered gallery along the north edge and a second stand to the west, keeping the afternoon sun off the seated crowd.

A 400-metre track rings the pitch, so the venue works for athletics without a second facility, and parking is pulled to the highway frontage to keep vehicles clear of the spectator route entirely.
