Godawari Dham pilgrimage complex completed in Kailali

The temple complex, processional route and terraced gardens at Godawari Dham have been handed over to Godawari Municipality.
Nodal Engineering Consultancy has completed the design and supervision of the Godawari Dham pilgrimage complex in Kailali district.
The scheme covers a main temple, subsidiary shrines, a stone-paved processional route from the arched entrance gate to the sanctum, terraced retaining walls following the hill contours, statuary and planted rest courts.
The site is a hill, and the design uses that rather than flattening it. Retaining walls follow the contours in stepped runs, holding terraces that carry the rest gardens and the smaller shrines along the route.
The work included detailed survey and contour mapping, master planning, architectural design, retaining wall design, landscape and paving design, and full cost estimation.
