About the project
Fitting a regulation oval onto a triangular hillside plot drove the whole layout. The ground is set to take the largest circle the site allows, with the terracing placed on the one straight edge long enough to carry it.
Practice nets and a pavilion sit at the northern corner where the plot narrows and no play area could go. A continuous belt of trees around the boundary gives the ground its edge and screens the road.
